236. In 1487 Maeleachlainn Ó Ceallaigh¹ was a Chief of Hy-Many.¹
Dr John O'Donovan presents his readers with a puzzle. He tells us this ancestor was Chief of Hy-Many in 1487 making him the Ancestor of the Kelleys of Beallagh Ireland but he also tells us that Donnchadh the 20th O'Kelley was the ancestor of the Kelleys of Beallagh. These two families descended from different lines.
